Most mango Create Good Health Colon


A healthy gut is very important to perform the function of digesting food properly. Fruits and vegetables good for intestinal health, and scientists say that the best mango for intestinal health.


"Mango has a prebiotic levels higher than other fruits and vegetables, so it helps keep the gut healthy," says scientist Maharashtra Association of Cultivation of Science's Agharkar Research Institute (MACS-ARI), as reported by Medindia on Wednesday (03/09/2011) .


Mango has been known as a fruit with high carbohydrates and calories. In addition, prebiotics on the mango is also found to be very high from all fruits.


Prebiotic fiber is a kind of special that could become food for microorganisms in the gut. Prebiotics can be regarded as non-digested food which helps the growth of beneficial bacteria (probiotics) in the gut. Prebiotics are food for probiotics.


Probiotics are living microorganisms are taken to maintain the balance of the digestive system in the intestine. Probiotics or good bacteria helps prevent disease.


"If you have a large number of these good bacteria in your body, then the inner lining of the gut healthy and helps prevent diseases such as inflammation, intestinal diseases, diseases associated with antibiotics, constipation and irritable bowel syndrome (irritable bowel syndrome)," explains Dr. Parimal Lawate, a senior gastroenterologist.


For 10 years scientists have studied 90 types of fruit and edible plants for the success of helping the growth of probiotics in the digestive system.


"Our study suggests that L rhamnosus, which is a beneficial bacteria that grows in a medium containing mango, helps reduce the presence of E coli. This shows the potential promise for mango varieties as a source of prebiotic," said Vaishali Agte, scientists at Agharkar Research Institute.
